Alexandra has always believed the world is full of tiny wonders waiting to be discovered. She first learned to chase big ideas as a philosophy major at McGill University, where she spent her days exploring big questions, shaping thoughtful arguments, and discovering how language can open doors to new ways of seeing.
Before turning to children’s literature, Alexandra spent more than a decade as a music teacher. She has her master's degree from The Boston Conservatory, and loved guiding young musicians as they tapped rhythms, and joyfully discovered their own creative voices.
When she isn’t writing, or humming her way through a new idea, Alexandra can often be found swimming laps or spending time with her playful dog, Rigby.
Alexandra’s stories are shaped by her belief that children deserve books that feel like invitations to wonder, to laugh, to ask questions, and to discover the magic tucked inside everyday moments.
